FROGVOL REPORT: Nascar 2010
Only ten races into the season and Jimmy Johnson #48 is ten points behind Kevin Harvick #29. Could this be the season where some one besides Johnson, who has won four straight titles, takes the crown at the end of the season? Only time will tell, but Johnson has the most wins already this year with three, followed by Denny Hamlin #11 with two wins.
Johnson has been hot the past four years winning the title in 2009 by 141 points, 2008 by 69, 2007 by 77, and 2006 by 56. How many titles can one team win in a row?
Hamlin told Johnson at the end of last season “I’m coming for you” and maybe he delivered that message with a win this past week at Darlington. Denny won both events this weekend at Darlington, and became the first driver in seventeen years to sweep both events.
Here is how the standings look after 10 of 36 races.
1. Kevin Harvick 1467
