Hey everyone I know i have been absent for a while been getting a lot of other stuff done but now i have returned and will post every week. Will we have a new Head Coach for the Big Orange as early as next week? Multiple sources are saying that former head coach of the Oakland Raiders who was fired earlier this season has been offered the job.

The Guy is only 33 years old will this be a new ERA for the Big Orange? Lets hope so, also I hope he does a better job in the college ranks then he did in the NFL.

Frog Vol Report: Tennessee @ South Carolina (11-01-2008)

November 3, 2008 · Filed Under Football, Frogvolreport, Misc. Sports Reports · Comment

The end of an era. Tennessee’s loss this weekend (27-6) proved to be the final straw for legendary coach Phillip Fulmer who has been at the helms of the Big Orange since late in the 1992 season, when he took over for Johnny Majors when he fell ill. It has been a good ride for Fulmer who has led the Vols to two back-to-back SEC championships (97-98) and the first ever BCS National Championship (1998).

Fulmer has had an excellent record of 150-51 over his tenure, although, over the last few years more losses than wins seem to have occurred. A mutual agreement between Phillip and the University of Tennessee has been reached that this is the best for the program.

On a personal note I have the up most respect for Fulmer and wish him the best of luck in his future, but also agree that the time has come for him to step aside and bring a new era to Big Orange Country.
